There are many regulations to heed when you are a parent whose child is working at an early age. Under the Child Employment Act 2003, kids can only work up to three hours a day or 12 hours weekly. On school holidays, they can work up to 30 hours weekly.
Even though their work hours are generally shorter than grownups’, your goal as a parent is to ensure they are comfortable throughout the day. At the same time, you want them to stay safe.
The Workers Shop gives you clothing for working kids, including polo shirts that will keep them cool and dry. Even while working or playing under the sun, the material will not hinder any activity. We also have larger sizes for kids up to 14 years old who may require a shirt with reflective tape.
All garments available on the shop comply with AS/NZS standards, including 4399:1996 and 4399:2017 for ultraviolet protection (UPF).
